Bexley Seabury Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of Major Hatch as the new Director of Admissions and Recruitment, effective September 16, 2024. Major brings more than 20 years of higher education experience, with extensive expertise in admissions and recruitment at renowned institutions such as the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Pace University, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
With a background in developing and executing strategic admissions processes, Major’s leadership will further enhance Bexley Seabury’s commitment to attracting a diverse and gifted student body. His proven track record in managing admissions programs and implementing innovative recruitment strategies makes him an ideal fit for our growing seminary.
“Major brings not only expertise but a deep commitment to students and their journeys of faith and education,” said The Rev. Dr. Micah T.J. Jackson, President of Bexley Seabury Seminary. “We are confident that his leadership will help us continue to build an inclusive and dynamic community of learners, living out our mission of theological education beyond walls.”
In this role, Major will build on the strong foundation created by his predecessor, continuing to shape the future of theological education at Bexley Seabury.
“It is an abundant honor to welcome Major to our community at such a vital moment in our institution’s history and future,” said Ash Love, Vice President of Institutional Advancement. “Major’s experience, married with his zeal for higher education and student flourishing, aligns with our mission of shaping the next generation of faith leaders–beyond walls.”
