| The Canon Missioner for Congregational Vitality serves as the key connection between the congregations and ministries of the Diocese and diocesan leadership. The Canon is geographically assigned to congregations in the Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro region and works collaboratively with bishops, canons, and diocesan staff to foster thriving, interconnected communities of faith. This role facilitates communication, provides resources and guidance to clergy and lay leaders, and strengthens congregational vitality by identifying, nurturing, and coordinating the unique gifts each congregation possesses. Through proactive engagement, systematic support, and accountable relationships, the Canon helps congregations live into the mission of becoming Beloved Community.
