The Associate for Mission and Outreach leads and coordinates all Mission and Outreach ministries, providing strategic oversight in collaboration with the Mission & Outreach Standing Committee, staff, parish leaders, and community partners. This role sustains and develops mission initiatives aligned with Saint Michael’s core focus of building disciples for a transformed community, including strengthening current partnerships, cultivating new opportunities, and leading international mission efforts. The Associate encourages parishioner engagement, recruits and equips volunteers, ensures Safe Church compliance, and helps participants reflect on how mission involvement deepens faith and discipleship. The position supervises the Coordinator for Mission & Outreach, manages staff and volunteers in accordance with Saint Michael’s values, and uses appropriate metrics to assess effectiveness and engagement. As a member of the ministry leadership team, the Associate collaborates across departments and supports the outreach and grant-related work of the All Angels Foundation, Horizon Outreach Fund, Men of Saint Michael, and Women of Saint Michael. The Associate may also represent Saint Michael at mission- and outreach-related forums. Saint Michael seeks a faithful, mature Episcopal priest with experience in outreach and community development, strong communication and organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a complex, large-church setting. |
