| St. Mark’s seeks a full-time rector to serve our thriving church community in a southern suburb of Buffalo (Go Bills!). A committed lay community awaits an energetic leader who wishes to establish roots in our community, known for its excellent school system, easy access to skiing, boating, hiking, and a wide variety of outstanding restaurants, as well as accessible and affordable theater, concerts, and sporting events. We seek a rector who is a great storyteller with children and adults alike, someone who enjoys working with children and youth as we strive to build a youth program. St. Mark’s is a parish with diverse socio-political views, and we hope to have a leader who can relate across the spectrum of beliefs. We love our music program and desire a rector who is appreciative and supportive of music in liturgy. We appreciate theology-based and engaging sermons–an excellent preacher is a must! The perfect leader for us is collaborative, spiritually centered, and is outgoing–willing to both roll up their sleeves with us and also support us as we take on some programs ourselves.
