Via Media Review literary magazine accepting submissions
Via Media Review is a new biannual literary magazine founded by members of the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe (CECE), dedicated to writing that explores individual spirituality as well as the rich diversity of spiritual traditions across cultures and time. The magazine’s debut issue, which is currently accepting submissions through November 1, 2025, features the theme “Both/And.”
The magazine, co-founded by five members of CECE who live in Italy and Switzerland, aims to provide a home for writers and artists looking to publish their essays, poetry, fiction, and hybrid forms that engage the spiritual dimension with thoughtfulness and originality.
Co-founder Monica Sharp, a professional writer and member of the congregation at St. James Episcopal Church in Florence, Italy, said the need for a literary magazine such as Via Media Review came to her attention last spring.
“During a CECE spirituality retreat in May, a retreatant approached me who said she had a friend in France who wished to be published but couldn’t find a place in the publishing world to submit her faith-centered writing,” Sharp said.
“Taking my experience with journals and my own publishing ride in hand, I decided to gather my like-minded, Europe-based anglophone writers to offer a journal that publishes writing on the topic of spiritual inquiry and faith,” she said.
Via Media Review is now accepting submissions via its online submissions form. The magazine will be published twice a year in eBook format and is open to contributors worldwide. The deadline for submissions to the debut issue, “Both/And,” is November 1, 2025. More information is available at the Via Media Review Substack at viamediareview.substack.com.
